Three: Ideas That Didn’t Make It

Fun week this week. We had a chance to meet up and talk through some of how we want to grow Dumbest D&D with all of you!

Three’s Company (business)

Gangster Kobolds…accumulated wealth and now they’re planning to take over the town above; “it’s our town now, boys.”
NPC alternative…she’s a crime boss who is smuggling exotic birds who sing beautifully.
Maybe she’s a tabaxi?
Her eyes dilate whenever a bird is near, trance-like state, starts chirping

desperately wants a fourth to be a barbershop quartet, something bad always happens to the 4th
Turns out the 4th is being picked off by an earlier member of the singing group who they rejected for being a diva? For getting laryngitis? Raspy villainous sound to his voice.
Villain: Someone who is really pitchy and just wants to sing with them

Three Bags Full (BaBa Black Sheep)…yes sir, yes sir.
- Town of subservient sheep that only say “yes sir, yes sir”
- Being taken advantage of by Tristan Hunter, the mount salesman
- Lead-in or sequel to What The Flock
Rule of thirds
- Town that is overrun with the expectation that everything has to happen in threes
- To the point where when its only two, they force a third. “We must maintain the balance!”
Third times the charm
- Spell that only charms people that have three of something: eyes, fingers, weapons, etc.
Leaves of three let it be
- Too similar to Pod Have Mercy on My Soul
Three-Ring Circus [Item]
- One…become a sad clown and get sympathy from others
- Two…become a trapeze artist and excel at acrobatics checks
- Three…become a lion tamer and excel at animal handling checks, speak to animals
Up for a threesome
- Misunderstanding of what a threesome is, thinks it just a __________
- Go into a bedroom, light candles, set the mood
- They get out a box of puzzle pieces
Triple Ayyyy
- roadside wagon/bandit/mercenary assistance
- Very bro-ey orcs “ayyyyyyy”
- “Yo, you should take this wagon and check out my boy who tricks out wagons like this”

Three Strikes and You’re Out
- Bowling tourney
- Everyone is really fragile
- You can’t do TOO well, or you hurt feelings
- More than three strikes…you’re out
Three-Dimensions…2-D plane of reality, switch places
- 2-D being comes into this plane of existence and needs to return home
- Party can roll him up and carry him under their arm or fold him and tuck him away into a book.
- Liked this one a lot, but couldn’t think of what else to do with it
